The Firm - NTV 7

The Firm is something like the american version of The Apprentice. It is now showing on NTV 7. It was shown last Sunday but i am unable to watch any of it coz the reception at my house is very bad and ...yes...i dun own astro either. Basically, i dun watch tv much. I hope someone locally knows how to rip it off and put it on youtube :) maybe NTV shud do it.

So, the first episode was aired and already there are unsatisfied viewers. click here for her comments. I should have applied, huh. Perhaps, i can play a villian or a dumb dumb blur guy which i dun need any acting at all =)

waterspout in singapore

This is an old news. Happened a mth back on May 27th, a day before my bday ;) in singapore. A waterspout was spotted by many and was caught on cams. Some thought it was a tornado but even if it so, most singaporeans were extremely calm and enjoyed the phenomenon (as seen the videos). Waterspout is not dangerous but it does pose some danger for ships or fishermen out at sea. Our climate has certainly changed a lot and i wonder what if this was a real tornado....

Feist - that's the name of this artist and her new album, The Reminder was released in May, 2007. I have this album sent to me but i didn't know it was good until i accidentally stumbled onto her music video on youtube. Only after that i realized her new album was sitting on my table for more than a week. A little folksy and pop that's how i describe it but overall, it is a good listen. I prefer her previous album, Let It Die as there are more catchy tunes and somehow it sounded a bit Abba to me or sometimes a bit Bjork.


I picked this song 1234 and you have to watch it. I watched this video over and over again and it is so seamlessly made or edited. How did they do it?


and you should watch this as well. Taken frm her old album, Let It Die, this song is called One Evening. Look at the dance steps. Isn't it cheesy? :) i like it!!!!

KinkyBlueFairy

Thank you Joyce or better known as Kinkybluefairy, one of the red-hot female blogger in town for buying a copy of Oxygen magazine and did a little review on it. And you know what, it sold out at a few bookstores like Sg Wang and the little bookshop at Curve (below TGI).

Of course, the magazine would not had been such a unique one this issue if not for Angie, the one who insisted us printing on environmentally paper, Vincent Paul Yong for his creative photography, Kenneth Vernon for his daring styling and last but not least, my managing partner aka design director, Sarah Tan for her contemporary layout & design. Here is a screenshot of my current stats analysis from google analytics. I am quite new to all these stuffs and perhaps, there are better tracker than this. For now, it is fairly satisfying as in less than 8hrs, there are already over 54 pageviews. Thank you all for taking time to go thru some of these pages and hope you enjoy it. Just keep coming back. The Usual Sunday

Today, the usual Sunday where me and my couple friends had our lunch at Curve and jalan-jalan to see what's new and also check into all the latest mags.

Then we went into BBMaxx and goodness, is something like another FOS and the range here is not too bad. I got a few that i wanted to buy but not enuff cash. I found Sean Jean polo T as well and it's only around RM30 something.


Ok. i can't fit into this one. damn! My friend bought it instead. And then i found this.


I saw this exact design at Zara 3 mths ago. And this one is made in South Africa. My hands were itchy to get this one as well but then, what if i wear it one day and i bum into my client from Zara?? haha..shitty.
Anyway, i ended up buying a polo T from H&M for RM17.00!!
Really good bargain. The shirts there comes in batches. So size is quite an issue also. I will not tell you more coz i have to grab one or 2 more t-shirts which i hav eyed. wooohoo...

Tracey Thorn

I came across this video and i kinda like it. Thought i share it with all of you. I've nvr heard of her. Well, pardon me. But i guess she is not widely known to many here either. I downloaded (haha..okok...i know that's not legal) her album and ya, it's good.



The video reminds me of those good old days when we were in the 80s and used to have many house parties. And it was exactly the same where the guys would go up to the girls sitting and asked for a dance. And ya...when i was young, i do have parting lines too. Ooooo...so cina apek, huh. And my friends wud say, i still look cina apek now.... (*curse)

starting all over

Alright.
Here i am, back again after a long absence from this blog.
I am still trying to make this blog looks good. so, i guess it will take some time.
i'm gonna try my hands on this bloggin thingy n see if i am able to pull at least 30 readers a day.

Ok...i know..i know. Usually, if you blog about gadgets, cars or anything specific of interests, it will garner some form of readership. If it is on lifestyle, the chances could be slim unless you are a female and got a hot looks or a solid body. Or unless you are damn eccentric or a biatch!

i hope i have lots of interesting things to keep you coming back. perhaps you can subscribe me and see how it goes.

Guess Who

just came back frm Force of Nature concert. It was great. There were many spectacular moments and wanna share a few with y'all. Boyz 2 Men gave a solid show rendering at least 6 classics like Water Runs Dry, Mama, the end of the road, on bended knee.etc. I think they were happy to see that there were so many ppl who love their songs. Splendid!!

Wyclef stole the show. He was at his best. Reminding the audience that he flew 26hrs to KL, he made everyone stood up and danced. Not only can he sing, he played the electric guitar with awesome skills. At one point, he even played it with his teeth! The best part was he requested the lights out and asked the audience to switch on their cell phone lights. Wonderful idea. But of coz, Lauryn Hill came on and also belted out my favourite, "killing me softly".

and...o ya...Eric Benet also made a special appearance. Eric who? erm...u have to check him out. His songs are not bad. lastly, the best was kept till last. Who else but the BackStreetBoyz. ahh..ok, i am not realy their fan but they did put up a quite impressive dance routine while singing.

OK...it's been awhile i update this blog, ay.
So, wat u wanna know....
ok...let's start with wat i can think of now....
i had my hair dyed about a mth ago. ya..now i looked like ah beng liao.
can go join those crowds in Warp or Rush...haha. Not exactly so. Just wanted to do something different from the norm. I think my norm looks a bit OLD and very not attractive at all. With this new hair, it supposed to look a bit stylish, more up todate, trendy...well, but my tummy supercede the overall look. Erm...now i qualify to be in the PLU liao.

O ya...there was a frog in my toilet yesterday nite. dunno how it got there and amazingly, it was sticking on the edge at the corner of the tiles - 4ft high! how it jumped so high??? i wonder...anyway, i think it was afraid of me like i was afraid it might jumped at me. so, i let it be and this morning......phew! it was gone.

these days, the heat is really like hell. i think the temperature could've easily rose to 40 celcius. so, if you are residing in overseas....enjoy , man. it's the end of the world liao. we went for the zoukfest recently up in genting. Nothing to shout about. i think most of us went there to 'cool' ourselves. It was windy, drizzling and ya....nice. the music a bit disappointing , though. Anyway, i was also half working there that nite. These 2 muppets made my earlier nite a nightmare, travelling up and down frm the room to the venue.

for our magazine, we took this in Luna Bar, 33rd flr of Pan Pacific Regency. A very nice place to chill out. make sure you be there b4 10pm or they'll charge you Rm 50 for cover.

After the Break

Not much happened for me this chinese new year. Went back hometown, Ipoh for a week and stayed home most of the time, watching TV! Didn't really gamble this year. Yah....very good boy this year :) Is Valentine's day today. Arghh.....another year gone by. Its been many years since i last bought roses. If you are celebrating valentines day.....good luck. Dun burn too big a hole in ur pocket ;) Is the same for me like any other day. Work , work , work.......
